A morpholine derivative represented by formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof: Image (I) wherein R1 and R3, which may be the same or different, each represent a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; R2 represents a halogen atom; and the dotted line indicates an optional double bond. These compounds exhibit a selective 5-HT reincorporation inhibitory activity and a selective 5-HT2 receptor antagonistic activity and useful as a therapeutic agent for depression, anxiety, etc. with reduced side effects.
