A motorized wheelchair includes a seat section, a driving section and a controlling section. Said driving section comprises four wheels, four electric motors for driving the wheels, and speed reducers; wherein each of said wheels is driven by an electric motor, and includes a plurality of rotatable rollers around the perimeter thereof; the angle between the direction of the axis around which said roller rotates and the direction of the wheel axis is .alpha., along the wheel axis and along the direction which is perpendicular to the said wheel axis and parallel to the ground surface, each of the said angles (.alpha.) in two adjacent wheels is equal, and the directions of said rollers are not parallel.

Un fauteuil roulant motorisé comporte une partie siège, une partie entraînement et une partie commande. Ladite partie entraînement comporte quatre roues entraînées par quatre moteurs électriques, et des réducteurs de vitesse, chaque roue étant entraînée par un moteur électrique et présentant sur sa périphérie une pluralité de roulettes. L'angle entre l'orientation de l'axe autour duquel les roulettes tournent et celle de l'axe des roues est l'angle .alpha., le long de l'axe des roues, perpendiculairement à ce dernier et parallèlement au sol, chaque angle (.alpha.) dans deux roues adjacentes étant égal, et les orientations desdites roulettes n'étant pas parallèles.
