A system for directing cooling air onto a neck ring in a glassware molding machine that includes at least one air plenum stationarily disposed at a blank mold station and having an internal cavity for receiving cooling air flowing laterally inwardly toward the axis and at least one outlet opening adjacent to the axis, a plunger wear plate disposed overlying at least a portion of the air plenum, and having an array of axially oriented openings for receiving air directed from the air plenum, a plurality of openings in the neck ring arm for receiving air from the openings in the plunger wear plate across a gap between the neck ring arm and the plunger wear plate when the neck ring arm overlies the plunger wear plate, and a plurality of air passages in the neck ring for receiving air from the neck ring arm openings.
L~invention porte sur un système de direction d~air de refroidissement sur un anneau de goulot d~une machine de moulage pour verrerie comprenant au moins une chambre de surpression d~air disposée de manière stationnaire au niveau d~un poste de moulage d~ébauche et ayant une cavité interne pour recevoir l~air de refroidissement s~écoulant latéralement vers l~intérieur en direction de l~axe et au moins une ouverture de sortie adjacente à l~axe, une plaque d~usure à plongeur recouvrant au moins une portion de la chambre de surpression d~air, et possédant une matrice d~ouvertures orientées axialement pour recevoir l~air dirigé depuis la chambre de surpression d~air, une pluralité d~ouvertures dans le bras de l~anneau de goulot pour recevoir l~air des ouvertures dans la plaque d~usure à plongeur traversant l~espace entre le bras d~anneau de goulot et la plaque d~usure à plongeur lorsque le bras d~anneau de goulot recouvre la plaque d~usure à plongeur, et une pluralité de passages d~air dans l~anneau de goulot pour recevoir de l~air depuis les ouvertures du bras d~anneau de goulot.
