There is provided a nonwoven fabric comprising a layer of a nonwoven web comprising filaments prepared from a thermoplastic polymer. The thermoplastic polymer is a blend of at least one isotactic polymer having an isotacticity of at least 85, up to 40 weight percent of at least one atactic polymer having an isotacticity of less than 20, and a fluorocarbon in an amount between about 0.1 and 3.0 weight percent. The fabric may be produced by the spunbonding and meltblowing processes and has goo strength, barrier and softness.
