A method of inhibiting 5-lipoxygenase comprising administering to a mammal in need thereof an effective amount of a compound having formula (I), wherein R1 and R2 are independently hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl; R3 is hydrogen, or a group of formula (a), wherein R4 is phenyl, substituted phenyl, naphthyl or substituted naphthyl, with the proviso that when R1 and R2 are both C1-C6 alkyl, R3 is not hydrogen; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
Méthode d'inhibition de la 5-lipoxygénase, consistant à administrer à l'organisme qui le nécessite une quantité efficace d'un composé de la formule (I), dans laquelle R¿1? et R¿2? sont, indépendamment, l'hydrogène ou un alkyle C¿1? à C¿6?; R¿3? est l'hydrogène, ou un groupe de la formule (a), dans laquelle R¿4? est phényle, phényle substitué, naphthyle ou naphthyle substitué, sous réserve que, lorsque R¿1? et R¿2? sont l'un et l'autre un alkyle de C¿1? à C¿6?, R¿3? ne soit pas l'hydrogène.
