The present invention relates to the discovery that certain non-naturally occurring, non-peptide arride compounds and amide derivatives, such as oxalamides, ureas, and acrylamides, are useful flavor or taste modifiers, such as a flavoring or flavoring agents and flavor or trite enhancer, more particularly, savory (the "umami" taste of monosodium glutamate) or sweet taste modifiers, - savory or sweet flavoring agents and savory or sweet flavor enhancers, for food, beverages, and other comestible or orally administered medicinal products or compositions.

Selon l'invention, il a été découvert que certains composés amide et dérivés d'amide non peptidiques, d'origine non naturelle, tels que des oxalamides, urées et acrylamides, peuvent être utilisés en tant que modificateurs de saveur ou de goût, par exemple en tant qu'aromatisants ou agents aromatisants et en tant que rehausseurs de saveur ou de goût, en particulier en tant que modificateurs de goût salé (le goût "umami" du glutamate de monosodium) ou sucré, agents aromatisants salés ou sucrés et rehausseurs de saveur salée ou sucrée, pour des aliments, des boissons ainsi que d'autres produits ou compositions médicinaux/ales comestibles ou administré(e)s par voir orale.
