An optical amplifying glass comprising a matrix glass and, added thereto, from 0.01 to 10 wt% of Er, characterized in that said matrix glass substantially comprises, as represented by mol%, 20 to 80 of Bi2O3, 0 to 74.89 of B2O3, 0 to 79.99 of SiO2, 0.01 to 10 of CeO2, 0 to 50 of Li2O, 0 to 50 of TiO2, 0 to 50 of ZrO2, 0 to 50 of SnO2, 0 to 30 of WO3, 0 to 30 of TeO2, 0 to 30 of Ga2O3 and 0 to 10 of Al2O3, with the proviso that said matrix glass contains at least one of B2O3 and SiO2.
La présente invention concerne un verre amplificateur de lumière constitué d'une matrice de verre et, ajoutée à celle-ci, de 0,01 à 10 % en poids d'Er, caractérisé en ce que ladite matrice de verre comprend sensiblement de 20 à 80 % de Bi2O3, de 0 à 74,8 % de B2O3, de 0 à 79,99 % de SiO2, de 0,01 à 10 % de CeO2, de 0 à 50 % de Li2O, de 0 à 50 % de TiO2, de 0 à 50 % de ZrO2, de 0 à 50 % de SnO2, de 0 à 30 % de WO3, de 0 à 30 % de TeO2, de 0 à 30 % de Ga2O3, et de 0 à 10 % de Al2O3, tous les pourcentages étant exprimés en molarité, avec la réserve que ladite matrice contienne au moins du B2O3 ou du SiO2.
