The object of the invention is an optical coupling device between at least one waveguide (6) embedded in a printed circuit (3), for conveying an optical beam (F), and an external waveguide (2), the circuit (3) comprising, starting from an exterior surface (4 ) of the circuit, at least one insulating first layer (5) and at least one internal layer incorporating at least one core (1) of embedded waveguide (6) forming said optical path, the device comprising a coupling element (9), positioned in a cut (8), hollowed out in the circuit (3) and cutting the embedded waveguide (6), the coupling element (9) being furnished with means of refocussing of the optical beam between the embedded waveguide (6) and the external waveguide (2) and at least one lower positioning surface (13) on a reference surface (11) of the cut (8) in relation to the axis of the embedded waveguide (6).
Cette invention porte sur un dispositif de couplage optique prévu entre au moins un guide d'onde optique (6) noyé dans un circuit imprimé (3), destiné à acheminer un faisceau optique (F) et un guide d'onde externe (2). Le circuit (3) comprend depuis une surface extérieure (4) de ce dernier, au moins une première couche isolante (5) et au moins une couche interne comportant au moins une âme (1) de guide d'onde optique noyé (6) formant ledit chemin optique, le dispositif comprenant un élément (9) de couplage, positionné dans une fente (8) ménagée dans le circuit (3) et le guide d'onde noyé (6) étant coupé, ledit élément (9) de couplage étant prévu avec un moyen de refocalisation du faisceau optique entre le guide d'onde noyé (6) et le guide d'onde externe (2) et au moins une surface de positionnement inférieure (13) étant située sur une surface de référence (11) de la fente (8) en liaison avec l'axe du guide d'onde noyé (6).
