Apparatuses are disclosed for use in orthopedic surgery, for example for procedures in which a support member is connected to the spine. A connector member (22) for connecting to an orthopedic implant (28) and a support member (30) is provided. A sleeve (24) fits around the implant, and a locking member (26) or mechanism connects to the sleeve. Locking causes a part of the sleeve to press the support against the connector, and causes a part of the sleeve to compress around the implant, so that the implant and support are substantially inhibited or prevented from moving with respect to each other.

On décrit un raccord destiné à se fixer à une prothèse orthopédique et à l'élément de support. Un manchon s'ajuste autour de la prothèse et un élément ou mécanisme de verrouillage est fixé au manchon. Le verrouillage amène une partie du manchon à presser le support contre le raccord et une partie du manchon à se comprimer autour de la prothèse, ce qui bloque sensiblement la prothèse et le support ou les empêche de se déplacer l'un relativement à l'autre.
