An outdoor equipment cabinet enclosure (10) designed to dissipate heat generated by electrical components housed therein including an upper chamber (20) for housing the components and a lower chamber (22) configured to store banks of batteries (24) for a stand-by power supply system. A lower wall (18) separates the batteries from the electronic components. A heat exchanger (30) is disposed in the upper chamber (20) and includes intake and exhaust ports (36, 38) for creating a circulating air flow path through outer columns (34) of the heat exchanger (30) for interior air within the upper chamber (20). An air flow passageway (44) is defined by the lower wall (18) and the upper surfaces of the batteries. A pair of diverters (56) located in the outside air flow passageway deflect the outside air flowing across the upper surfaces of the batteries through spaces between the batteries. A pair of opposed baffles (60) help direct the outside air flow ton an inner column (32) of the heat exchange and also include portions (62) serving to locate and retain the batteries.
L'invention concerne une enceinte d'armoire d'extérieur conçue pour dissiper efficacement la chaleur générée par des composants d'équipement électrique logés dans celle-ci. Ladite enceinte comporte une partie intérieure principale dans laquelle les composants électroniques actifs doivent être logés et une partie inférieure dans laquelle le groupes de batteries pour un système d'alimentation de secours doit être rangé, une paroi inférieure séparant les batteries des composants électroniques dans la partie intérieure principale. Au moins un échangeur de chaleur est placé dans la partie intérieure principale et présente un orifice d'admission et un moyen conçu pour créer un passage d'écoulement d'air circulant pour l'air intérieur de la partie intérieure principale. Un passage d'écoulement d'air de l'extérieur est délimité par la paroi inférieure et les surfaces supérieures des batteries, et au moins une chicane placée dans le passage d'écoulement d'air extérieur est conçue pour dévier l'air extérieur circulant sur les surfaces supérieures des batteries dans le ou les échangeurs de chaleur. La ou les chicanes sont disposées, de sorte qu'elles forment un angle aigu avec les surfaces supérieure des batteries, depuis un point adjacent aux côtés intérieurs des batteries.
