OVAL DUAL-AC-CAPACITOR PACKAGE Abstract of the Disclosure Two wound-metallized-polypropylene capacitor sections of cylindrical dimensions are housed in an oval metal can. One capacitor section forms a single capacitor of two metal film electrodes. One metal film electrode of the other capacitor section is opened or interrupted in the winding. The uninterrupted other film electrode of this other section is terminated at the bottom end while the two interrupted inner and outer winding films are separately terminated at the top end. The bottoms of both capacitor sections are connected together and to a feed- through terminal. Said outer film is connected via a conductive strap to the top termination of the one section and to a second terminal, while the inner film is connect- ed only to a third terminal. In this way, an optimally dense oval package provides two capacitors at the package terminals that may have a ratio of values ranging from 3 to 12, ideally suited for use in air conditioners.
