A padded shoe, composing a flexible, resilient sole having a substantially smooth surface, a shoe upper, wherein at least a portion of the shoe upper has padding, an ankle padding structure extending from the shoe upper, adapted to cover the medial malleolus of a wearer, a padded tongue, a means to retain the shoe on the foot of a wearer; an outer protective flap, the outer flap being located such that the outer protective flap covers at least a portion of the retaining structure; and an engagement structure for securing the outer protective flap to the shoe upper, the outer protective flap substantially covering the engagement structure, whereby the wearer can strike a target with the shoe, and the target and the wearer are protected from injury.
La présente invention concerne une chaussure rembourrée qui comprend une semelle souple et flexible comportant une surface sensiblement lisse; une tige de chaussure telle qu'au moins une partie de la tige est pourvue d'un rembourrage; une structure de rembourrage pour la cheville qui s'étend depuis la tige de chaussure, et conçue pour couvrir la malléole interne de l'utilisateur; une languette rembourrée; un moyen de retenue de la chaussure sur le pied de l'utilisateur; un rabat de protection extérieur qui est positionné de sorte qu'il recouvre au moins une partie de la structure de retenue; et une structure de fixation servant à fixer le rabat de protection extérieur sur la tige de chaussure, ladite structure de fixation étant située de sorte que le rabat de protection extérieur couvre sensiblement la structure de fixation, ceci permettant à l'utilisateur de viser une cible avec la chaussure, la cible et l'utilisateur étant protégés et ne pouvant être blessés par l'impact direct avec la structure de retenue, la structure de fixation ou la cheville de l'utilisateur.
