The invention relates to a method for passivating zinc, cadmium, or the alloys thereof, especially zinc-nickel alloys, with a chrome (VI)-free solution containing a weak complexing agent, preferably dicarboxylic or tricarboxylic acids, preferably a chrome (III)-oxalate complex and Co2+, the Co2+ concentration being higher than 30g/l.

L'invention concerne un procédé de passivation de zinc, cadmium ou de leurs alliages, notamment d'alliages zinc-nickel, avec une solution exempte de chrome (VI), contenant un agent complexant faible, de préférence des acides dicarboxyliques ou tricarboxyliques, de préférence un complexe chrome (III)-oxalate et du Co?2+¿, la concentration en Co?2+¿ étant supérieure à 30g/l.
