The present invention relates to a dry type tooth whitening patch comprising peroxide as a tooth whitening agent. In particular, disclosed is a dry type tooth whitening patch in which a peroxide is contained, as a teeth whitening agent, in a matrix type adhesive layer. The adhesive layer includes, as a base polymer thereof, a hydrophilic glass polymer which provides a strong adhesion to teeth while releasing the tooth whitening agent when hydrated on the enamel layers of teeth in the moist oral cavity. The dry type patch according to the present invention is convenient in use, as compared to wet type patches. Further, it exhibits a superior adhesion while being maintained in a state attached to the teeth for a lengthened period of time so as to assure an enough contact time between the whitening agent in the patch and stains on the teeth, thereby giving a sufficient whitening effect.

La présente invention concerne un patch de blanchiment dentaire du type anhydre renfermant du peroxyde comme agent de blanchiment des dents. En particulier, l'invention concerne un patch de blanchiment dentaire du type anhydre caractérisé en ce que ledit peroxyde est contenu, en sa qualité d'agent de blanchiment des dents, dans une couche adhésive du type matrice. Ladite couche adhésive comprend, comme polymère de base, un polymère vitreux hydrophile qui non seulement assure une forte adhésion sur les dents mais libère aussi, lorsqu'il est hydraté, l'agent de blanchiment des dents sur les couches d'émail des dents de la cavité buccale humide. Par rapport aux patchs du type humide, le patch du type anhydre selon la présente invention est particulièrement pratique à utiliser. En outre, le patch selon l'invention offre une adhésion bien plus importante lorsqu'il est maintenu dans un état de fixation aux dents sur une longue période, de manière à garantir un temps de contact suffisant entre l'agent de blanchiment contenu dans le patch et les tâches que présentent les dents, d'où un effet de blanchiment suffisant.
