The inventive peptide protein translation inhibitor is characterised in that the size thereof is greater than 250 amino acids and it comprises an amino acid sequence which is at least for 85% identical to an aminoacid sequence SEQ ID N·1. Said invention also relates to a fusion polypeptide which specifically inhibits an interesting target polynucleotide translation which is characterised in that said polypeptide comprises the above defined inhibiting peptide fused with a RNA binding protein,

Il est fourni selon l'invention un peptide inhibiteur de la traduction des protéines caractérisé en ce que sa taille est d'au plus 250 acides aminés et en ce qu'il comprend une séquence d'acides aminés possédant au moins 85 pour cent d'identité avec la séquence en acides aminés SEQ ID N~1. Un autre objet de l'invention consiste en un polypeptide de fusion susceptible d'inhiber spécifiquement la traduction d'un polynucléotide cible d'intérêt, caractérisé en ce que ledit polypeptide comprend un peptide inhibiteur tel que défini ci- dessus, ledit peptide inhibiteur étant fusionné avec une protéine de liaison à l'ARN.
