Abstract of the Disclosure New phenyl thiol carbanilide derivatives of the present invention are represented by the formula Image [1] where X represents a lower alkylsufonyl, a lower alkoxycarbonyl, a N-lower alkylcarbamoyl, a lower alkylcarbonyl or an O,O-dilower alkyl thiophosphonyl, Y represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine and lower alkyl, Z represents hydro- gen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxy or trifuoro- methyl and m represents 1 or 2. The compounds have excellent fungicidal activity against fungi which cause diseases of plants.
