The present invention provides novel polynucleotides encoding plant prenyl protease polypeptides, fragments and homologs thereof. Also provided are vectors, host cells, antibodies, and recombinant methods for producing said polypeptides. The invention further provides novel polynucleotides encoding plant promoters, polypeptides, fragments and homologs thereof. The invention further relates to methods of applying these novel plant polypeptides to the identification, prevention, and/or conferment of resistence to various plant diseases and/or disorders, particularly drought resistence.
La présente invention concerne de nouveaux polynucléotides codant des polypeptides de prényle protéase végétaux, ainsi que des fragments et des homologues de ceux-ci. L'invention concerne également des vecteurs, des cellules hôtes, des anticorps, ainsi que des méthodes de recombinaison permettant d'obtenir ces polypeptides. Par ailleurs, l'invention concerne de nouveaux polynucléotides codant des protomères végétaux, ainsi que les polypeptides, fragments et homologues de ceux-ci. L'invention concerne enfin des méthodes d'application de ces nouveaux polypeptides végétaux dans l'identification, la prévention, et/ou le renforcement de leur résistance à divers troubles et/ou maladies végétales, en particulier la résistance à la sécheresse.
