A plastic molding composition comprising a thermoplastic or thermoset plastic, which contains as antistatic agent a compound of the formula I Image (I) where R1 is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydro- carbon group having 8 or more carbon atoms, R2 is a C1-C6-alkyl group and R3 and R4 are identical or different and are each a symmetric or unsymmetric alkyl group, hydroxyalkyl group or polyoxyalkylene group, has a good antistatic treatment even when small amounts are used. Molding compositions based on polyolefins, in particular, can be given a durable antistatic treatment by the novel application of the said compounds.
