PLUG SEALS FOR GAS PRESSURISABLE ELECTRICAL CABLE AND CABLE INSTALLATIONS Abstract of the Disclosure: Method of forming a plug seal at the end of gas pressurisable cable in which a gas pressurisable tube is inserted into the cable end and into a gas pressurisable region of the cable, and the cable end is plugged to form a seal against pressurised gas except for the passage within the tube. The cable may be a pressurised underground cable and a gas pressurisable secondary cable spliced to the underground cable extends to ground level or above, at which position it is formed with the plugged end and accessible pressurisable tube to enable gas pressure readings to be taken. - i -
