The present invention includes polymer films that comprise lanthanum hexaboride and an epoxy agent. The lanthanum hexaboride and epoxy agent can be incorporated into or onto a polymer film in any suitable manner. The addition of an epoxy agent surprisingly provides a stabilization effect to the lanthanum hexaboride, which allows for the production of polymer films that advantageously absorb infrared radiation and resist environmental degradation. Polymer films thus produced have a significant number of applications, for example, but not limited to, display devices, protective coverings, and glazing film applications.
La présente invention concerne des films polymères comprenant de l~hexaborure de lanthane et un agent époxyde. L~hexaborure de lanthane et l~agent époxyde peuvent être incorporés de n~importe quelle manière appropriée dans ou sur un film polymère. L~ajout d~agent époxyde stabilise de façon surprenante l~hexaborure de lanthane, ce qui permet de produire des films polymères qui présentent l~avantage d~absorber les rayonnements infrarouges tout en résistant à une dégradation due à l'environnement. Les films polymères ainsi produits trouvent un nombre important d~applications parmi lesquelles on citera, à titre non limitatif, des dispositifs d~affichage, des capots de protection et des applications de film formant glacis.
