A method for the production of a polymer material is shown and described, which is characterized by: (a) producing a mixture containing at least 1 to 75 wt.-% starch and/or starch derivative, 10 to 85 wt.-% polyester, and 0.01 to 7 wt.-% of a polymer containing an epoxy group; (b) homogenizing the mixture while supplying thermal and/or mechanical energy; (c) setting the water content of the mixture, so that the end product has a water content of less than approximately 12 wt.-%, in relation to the total composition of the mixture. The polymer material produced with the method according to the invention is characterized by outstanding mechanical properties.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'élaboration d'un matériau polymère, caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste en (a) la production d'un mélange contenant au moins 1 à 75 % en masse d'amidon et/ou d'un dérivé d'amidon, 10 à 85 % en masse de polyester et 0,01 à 7 % en masse d'un polymère contenant des groupes époxy, (b) l'homogénéisation du mélange avec apport d'énergie thermique et/ou mécanique et (c) l'ajustement de la teneur en eau du mélange, de sorte que le produit final présente une teneur en eau inférieure à environ 12 % en masse, par rapport à la composition totale du mélange. Le matériau polymère élaboré selon le procédé de l'invention se caractérise par d'excellentes propriétés mécaniques.
