(X)n (1) wherein R is a pivaloyloxy group, M is a transition metal ion of the group IV and the group V metals, X is a halo- gen ion, and n is 0 or 1. The above compound is used as a more stable artificial oxygen carrier capable of preventing the behavior of oxidation and deterioration.
