ABSTRACT POWER SUPPLY DEVICE An electric supply device (1) for the mains-independent operation of electrical appliances (2) has a holder (11) fixed to the electrical appliance (2) for the easily detachably locked and substantially completely exposed mounting support of a storage unit (10). For electrically conduc- tive contact connection, approximately in the plane of a countersunk bearing surface (13), the storage unit (10) has flat and positionally rigid contacting contacts (38), with which are associated corresponding counter- contacting contacts (39) in the vicinity of the associated counterbearing surface (13) of holder (11). The contacting contacts (38, 39) are close to a hinge axis formed by a projecting hinged cam (32) and a cam pocket (33) between the storage unit (10) and the holder (11), so that a favourable leverage is obtained. For detachable locking, two separately, but simul- taneously operable locks (18) are provided in the vicinity of the other end of the storage unit (10), which receive in an almost completely embedded manner the holder (11).
