In a process for preparing an alkylaromatic hydrocarbon composition an olefinic hydrocarbon mixture and an aromatic compound are contacted under alkylation conditions with an aromatic alkylation catalyst selected from a homogeneous acid catalyst and heterogeneous acid catalyst comprising a molecular sieve having an X-ray diffraction pattern including d-spacing maxima at 12.4.plusmnØ25, 6.9.plusmnØ15, 3.57.plusmnØ07 and 3.42.plusmnØ07 Angstrom. The olefinic hydrocarbon mixture comprises at least 5wt% by weight of mono-olefin oligomers of the empirical formula: CnH2n wherein n is greater than or equal to 10, the mono olefin oligomers comprising at least 20 percent by weight of olefins having at least 12 carbon atoms, and the olefins having at least 12 carbon atoms having an average of from 0.8 to 2.0 C1-C3 alkyl branches per carbon chain. Sulfonation of the alkylaromatic hydrocarbon product produces an alkylaryl sulfonate mixture that exhibits advantageous properties, such as biodegradability and hard and cold water performance.
Selon la présente invention, dans un procédé de préparation d'une composition d'hydrocarbures alkylaromatiques, un mélange d'hydrocarbures oléfiniques et un composé aromatique sont mis en contact dans des conditions d'alkylation avec un catalyseur d'alkylation aromatique sélectionné parmi un catalyseur acide homogène et un catalyseur acide hétérogène possédant un tamis moléculaire doté d'un diagramme de diffraction des rayons X, y compris un maximum d'espacement d à 12.4.plusmnØ25, 6.9.plusmnØ15, 3.57.plusmnØ07 et 3.42.plusmnØ07 Angstroms. Ce mélange d'hydrocarbures oléfiniques contient au moins 5 % en poids d'oligomères de mono-oléfines de la formule empirique C¿n?H¿2n,? dans laquelle n est supérieur ou égal à 10, les oligomères de mono-oléfines renfermant au moins 20 % en poids d'oléfines dotées d'au moins 12 atomes de carbone, et les oléfines pourvues d'au moins 12 atomes de carbone présentant une moyenne de 0,8 à 2,0 branches C¿1?-C¿3? alkyle par chaîne de carbone. La sulfonation du produit des hydrocarbures alkylaromatiques engendre un mélange de sulfonates d'alkylaryle qui présente des propriétés avantageuses, telles que biodégradabilité et efficacité à l'eau froide et dure.
