The invention relates to a method for producing alkylaryl compounds, by reacting a C10-14 monoolefin mixture with an aromatic hydrocarbon, in the presence of an alkylation catalyst to give alkylaromatic compounds and, optionally, by subsequent sulphonation and neutralisation of the obtained alkylaryl compounds. Said method is characterised in that, on average, in said C10-14 monoolefins, more than 0% and up to 100% of methyl branches are located in the longest carbon chain and less than 50% of the methyl branches are located at the 2-, 3- and 4-position, counting from the ends of the longest carbon chain.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'alkylaryles par mise en réaction d'un mélange de mono-oléfines en C¿10-14? avec un hydrocarbure aromatique en présence d'un catalyseur d'alkylation pour former des composés alkylaromatiques, puis éventuellement par sulfonation et neutralisation des alkylaryles obtenus. Ce procédé se caractérise en ce qu'en moyenne, dans ces mono-oléfines en C¿10-14?, plus de 0 % et jusqu'à 100 % des ramifications méthyle se trouvent dans la chaîne carbonée la plus longue et moins de 50 % de ces ramifications méthyle se trouvent en position 2, 3 et 4, à partir des extrémités de la chaîne carbonée la plus longue.
