A support for use with pressure vessels and the like, one example of which is a tank for storing propane. The pressure vessel support has a body formed into a light weight hollow elongate member generally trapezoldal in cross section with the widest side resting upon a supporting surface. The support has reinforced load bearing points located near each end and is ventilated such that air flows in, and moisture out of the interior reducing moisture problems. If the support is made of a heat resistant material it may be heated allowing it to be freed if it has become frozen to the ground during winter months.
