Procedure for the burning of black liquor in a recovery boiler in conjunction with a process for the production of bleached pulp, in which procedure the combustion process is supplied with preheated primary combustion air and preheated secondary combustion air and, tertiary combustion air to increase the oxygen content of the combustion gases. At least one of the combustion airs is preheated with the warm effluents of the bleaching plant.
