The invention refers to a process and a facility for carrying out the process for manufacturing derived timber product board as an endless string of boards using a continuously operating press that comprises two flexible endless steel belts that pick up the material to be pressed between each other and feed it through the press, and whereby the steel belts are guided by driving drums and idler drums to circulate around a press table and a press rammer, whereby the steel belts are supported by the press table and the press rammer against the heated pressure plates (possibly by means friction-reducing elements), as well as a subsequent cooling device. The invention consists of the cooling device as a dual-belt clamping device with a maximum clamping pressure of 0 to 0.05 N/mm2 and, arranged directly behind the continuously operating press and in front of the cooling device, a diagonal cutting device for dividing the string of boards into individual boards, and multiple rows of coolant spray nozzles on the reverse faces of the clamping belts that provide contact on the individual boards.
