PRÉCIS DE LA DIVULGATION La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de fabrication de fils de verre par étirage mécanique. Le procédé consiste à revêtir les fibres de verre, en cours d'étirage, d'un apprêt pouvant se présenter sous forme de solution ou d'émulsion éventuellement aqueuse, comprenant notamment au moins un oligomère monoinsaturé ou polyinsaturé, au moins un photoamorceur et éventuellement au moins un solvant organique et/ou au moins un monomère mono ou polyinsaturé, à rassembler lesdites fibres en au moins un fil et à soumettre ledit fil à l'action d'au moins un rayonnement actinique. Le fil ainsi obtenu est particulièrement adapte pour renforcer des produits à base de matières organiques ou des produits formés à partir de matières minérales telles que le ciment.
