The invention relates to a process for preparing an alkyl tertiary-alkyl ether by (a) feeding an iso-olefin reagent-containing stream and an alcohol reagent via inlet (11) to reactor (1) and allowing these reagents to react under etherification conditions to form an alkyl tertiary-alkyl ether-containing reaction mixture, (b) passing the reaction mixture produced in (a) via pipe (12) and a hydrocarbon feed stream via inlet (21) to distillation column (2), (c) fractionating the reaction mixture and hydrocarbons to obtain a stream comprising alkyl tertiary-alkyl ether at outlet (24) at the bottom of the distillation column (2) and a stream comprising alcohol and hydrocarbons at outlet (22) at the top of the distillation column (2), and (d) recycling at least part of the overhead mixture obtained at outlet (22) to the reactor (1), wherein the hydrocarbon feed stream comprises iso-olefin reagent, and wherein at least part of the iso-olefin reagent-containing stream supplied into the reactor is formed by the overhead mixture.

L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un éther d'alkyle-alkyle tertiaire comprenant les étapes consistant: (a) à alimenter un courant d'iso-oléfine, contenant un réactif, ainsi qu'un réactif à base d'alcool, par l'orifice d'entrée (11) d'un réacteur (1) et à permettre à ces réactifs de réagir sous des conditions d'estérification, afin de former un mélange de réaction contenant un éther d'alkyle-alkyle tertiaire; (b) à faire passer le mélange de réaction produit dans l'étape (a) à travers un tuyau (12), et un courant d'alimentation d'hydrocarbure par l'orifice d'entrée (21), vers une colonne de distillation (2); (c) à fractionner le mélange de réaction et les hydrocarbures afin d'obtenir un courant comprenant un éther d'alkyle-alkyle tertiaire au niveau de l'orifice de sortie (24) situé à la base de la colonne (2) de distillation, ainsi qu'un courant comprenant de l'alcool et des hydrocarbures au niveau de l'orifice de sortie (22) situé au sommet de ladite colonne (2); et (d) à recycler au moins une partie du distillat de tête obtenu au niveau de l'orifice de sortie (22) du réacteur (1). Dans ce procédé, le courant d'alimentation d'hydrocarbure comprend un réactif à base d'iso-oléfine, et au moins une partie de ce courant fourni dans le réacteur est formée par le distillat de tête.
