This invention discloses a process for preparing PVB sheeting having a desired uniform adhesivity for glass lamination interlayer applications. The process for preparing PVB sheeting comprises preparing a blend of polyvinylbutyral and a compatible quantity of at least one plasticizer and an adhesion control agent, and extruding the blend to form a sheet. The improvement comprises monitoring the acidity of the sheet and adding water in the sheet forming process as an agent for controlling the acidity and resultant adhesivity of the sheet.
Cette invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'une feuille de revêtement en polyvinylbutyral (PVB) ayant les qualités d'adhérence uniforme voulues lors d'utilisations comme couche intermédiaire dans du verre feuilleté. Ce procédé de préparation d'une feuille de revêtement en polyvinylbutyral (PVB) consiste à mélanger du polyvinylbutyral et une quantité compatible d'au moins un plastifiant avec un agent de modulation d'adhérence avant d'extruder ledit mélange sous forme de feuille. Ce procédé comporte également une amélioration qui consiste à moduler l'acidité de la feuille durant son processus de fabrication en ajoutant de l'eau en tant qu'agent permettant de moduler l'acidité et, donc, les qualités d'adhérence de la feuille.
