Abstract of the Disclosure A process for producing an alkylenamine re- presented by the general formula Image [III] wherein R1 and R2, independently from each other, represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl or ethyl group, R3 and R4, independently from each other, represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an amino- alkyl group having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, and n is larger than m and is an integer of 1 to 5, which comprises reacting an aziridine compound of the general formula Image [I] wherein R1 and R2 are as defined, with an amine of the general formula Image [II] wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are as defined, and m is an integer of 0 to 4, in the liquid phase in the presence of a solid acid catalyst.
