The invention concerns a process for reducing ore fines by means of reducing gas in a fluidized bed process. In order to obtain a homogeneous degree of metallization whilst making optimum use of the reducing gas and minimizing the amount thereof, the following combination of steps is applied: the ore fines (2) are fractionated by means of the reducing gas into at least two fractions each having different grain size distributions; each fraction is reduced in its own fluidized bed (3, 12) with the reducing gas; the reducing gas maintains a first fluidized bed (3) containing the coarse grain fraction and separates therefrom the fine grain fraction, it is then accelerated together with the fine grain fraction and subsequently, as it expands, forms a further fluidized bed (12), the gas being continuously fed from below into the further fluidized bed (12) in a radial symmetrical manner; a secondary reducing gas is introduced directly in a radial symmetrical manner into the further fluidized bed (12); and reduced ore is discharged both from the first and the further fluidized bed (3, 12).
L'invention concerne un procédé de réduction de fines de minerai au moyen d'un gaz réducteur selon la technique du lit fluidisé. Afin d'obtenir un taux de métallisation homogène, tout en exploitant de façon optimale le gaz réducteur et en minimisant le volume de gaz réducteur employé, on combine les étapes suivantes: les fines de minerai (2) sont fractionnées au moyen du gaz réducteur en au moins deux fractions avec des répartitions granulométriques différentes; chaque fraction est réduite dans un lit fluidisé individuel (3, 12) au moyen du gaz réducteur; le gaz réducteur maintient un lit fluidisé (3) contenant la fraction à gros grains et sépare la fraction à grains fins de cette dernière, puis subit une accélération avec la fraction à grains fins, avant de former, par détente, un second lit fluidisé (12) dans lequel il est introduit en continu par le bas de façon symétrique et radiale; un gaz réducteur secondaire est en outre introduit directement de façon symétrique et radiale dans le second lit fluidisé (12); et le minerai réduit est extrait du premier lit fluidisé (3) et du second lit fluidisé (12).
