Abstract Disclosed is a process for the production of highly amorphous propylene homopolymers or propylene-ethylene copolymers which comprises polymerizing propylene or a mixture of propylene and ethylene at a temperature of 130°C-190°C and a pressure of about 300-5000 psig (21.1-352 kg) in the presence of a catalyst system which comprises (a) titanium halide on a support comprising magnesium chloride and (b) an aluminum alkyl.
