Process for the manufacture of glass articles with a transparent glass body (2) bearing a message (3) such as an advertisement, logo or other information. The process consists in transferring the message (3) to a support (4) made from a material heat compatible with the transparent glass body, for example, glass having the same technical and chemical features as the glass of the article (2). The support is then fed into an apparatus for coating with molten glass. The support assembly together with the formable glass enclosing it is then processed to achieve the desired shape with a view to producing the message-bearing article. Within the article, the message seems suspended in a vacuum or is carried on a support of a desired shape, colour and/or texture. The message-bearing article can be a sphere, a carafe stopper, or the bottom of a glass or dish.
La fabrication d'articles en verre comportant un corps de verre transparent (2) qui inclut un message (3) tel que de la publi- cité, un logo, ou toute autre information, est effectuée par l'application de ce message (3) sur un support (4) fabriqué d'un maté- riau thermiquement compatible avec le verre du corps transparent par exemple un verre de la même sorte technique et chimique que le verre de la bille (2), et ensuite ce support est introduit dans un appareil permettant son enveloppement avec le verre en état fondu. Ensuite, le support ensemble avec le verre formable qui l'entoure est procédé pour obtenir la forme désirée pour produire l'article à l'intérieur duquel on trouve le message qui semble suspendu dans le vide, ou porté sur un support d'une forme, couleur et/ou texture désirée. L'article porteur message peut être une bille, un bouchon de carafe, un fond de verre ou un fond d'assiette.
