ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The specification describes a process of producing an acid addition salt of 2-(7-indenyloxymethyl)morpholine repre- sented by the general formula Image wherein R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, a phenyl group, or a benzyl group. The process comprises adding to a mixture of the 2-(7-indenyloxymethyl)mor- pholine represented by the general formula Image wherein R2 has the same significance as defined above, and the 2-(4-indenyloxymethyl)morpholine represented by the general formula Image wherein R2 has the same significance as defined above, an acid in an amount of slightly less than the stoichiometric amount to isomerize the 2-(4-indenyloxymethyl)morpholine.
