ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The specification describes a benzamide derivative and the process of making same. The derivative is represented by the formula Image wherein X represents a lower alkoxy group, Y represents a mono- or di-lower alkylamino group, Z represents a halogen atom, and R reoresents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom. The process comprises reacting a benzoic acid represented by the formula Image wherein X, Y and Z have the same meaning as in the above formula or a reactive derivative thereof, with an amine represented by the formula Image wherein R has the same meaning as above.
