The object of the invention is a process for producing compact and preferably cellular polyurethane elastomers based on 3,3' dimethyl diphenyl 4,4' diisocyanate-containing polyisocyanate mixtures by the reaction of a) high- molecular polyhydroxyl compounds and possibly b) low-molecular hydroxyl group- containing chain extending and/or cross-linking agents with c) 3,3' dimethyl diphenyl 4,4' diisocyanate and at least one additional aromatic diisocyanate from the group toluylene diisocyanate, diphenyl methane diisocyanate, 1,2 diphenyl ethane diisocyanate and phenylene diisocyanate, and/or at least one aliphatic diisocyanate with 4 to 12 carbon atoms and/or at least one cycloaliphatic diisocyanate with 6 to 18 carbon atoms, in which the structural components (a), (c) and possibly (b) are advantageously brought to reaction by the prepolymer process, in the presence or absence of d) catalysts, e) foaming agents and f) additives and isocyanate prepolymers suitable therefor, preferably those based on 4,4' diphenyl methane diisocyanate and 3,3' dimethyl diphenyl 4,4' diisocyanate.

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'élastomères polyuréthanes compacts et de préférence alvéolés à base de mélanges de polyisocyanate contenant 3,3'-diméthyldiphényl-4,4'-diisocyanate par réaction des substances suivantes : a) des composés polyhydroxylés à haut poids moléculaire et éventuellement , b) des agents d'allongement de chaîne et/ou agents de réticulation contenant un groupe hydroxyle à faible poids moléculaire , c) 3-3'-diméthyl-diphényl-4,4'-diisocyanate et au moins un diisocyanate aromatique supplémentaire choisi dans un des groupes toluylène-diisocyanate, diphénylméthane-diisocyanate, 1,2-diphényléthane-diisocyanate et phénylène-diisocyanate, et/ou au moins un diisocyanate aliphatique avec 4 à 12 atomes de carbone et/ou au moins un diisocyanate cycloaliphatique avec 6 à 18 atomes de carbone, les composants structuraux (a), (c) et éventuellement (b) étant avantageusement amenés à réagir selon le mode de prépolymérisation, en présence ou en l'absence de d) catalyseurs, e) d'agents moussants et f) d'additifs, et de prépolymères d'isocyanates adéquats, de préférence à base de 4-4'-diphénylméthane-diisocyanate et 3,3'-diméthyle-diphényle-4,4'-diisocyanate.
