A chromaticity meter measures the chromaticity of light output for each picture element selected. Calculated from the measurement is corrective data on each of RGB colors, which in turn is used to calculate corrective data on each of RGB for unselected picture elements. In this method, original video signals for each of RGB colors will be correctively modulated based on the thus obtained corrective data. A projected image displaying apparatus is constructed such that adjustment of chromaticity as to white as well as to black from the measurement by the chromaticity meter of chromaticity throughout the entire image, is carried out uniformly and reliably by automatic control using a micro-computer so as to determine the optimal condition for correctively modulating the original video signal. This apparatus further includes means for storing the thus obtained optimal condition in a non-volatile memory.
Un dispositif de mesure de la chromaticité mesure la chromaticité de la lumière émise par chaque élément d'image sélectionné. Des données de correction pour chacune des couleurs RVB sont calculées à partir des mesures. Ces données sont ensuite utilisées pour calculer des données de correction pour chacune des couleurs RVB des éléments d'image non sélectionnés. Selon cette méthode, les signaux vidéo originaux correspondant à chacune des couleurs RVB sont modulés de manière corrective à partir des données de correction ainsi obtenues. Un dispositif d'affichage d'image par projection est construit de manière à ce que l'ajustement de la chromaticité par rapport au blanc ainsi qu'au noir, réalisé à partir de la mesure de la chromaticité effectuée au moyen du dispositif de mesure de la chromaticité sur l'ensemble de l'image, soit exécuté uniformément et de manière fiable par commande automatique au moyen d'un micro-ordinateur de manière à déterminer les conditions optimales requises pour appliquer une modulation corrective au signal vidéo original. Le dispositif comporte aussi un moyen d'enregistrement dans une mémoire rémanente des conditions optimales ainsi obtenues.
