The invention relates to a protection device for a military vehicle (1) which is used as a support vehicle and can carry out all engineering and maintenance work, said device comprising a chassis (4) as the base of the different types of vehicle and a crew cell (3) for receiving the crew (2). Said crew cell (3) has a high surrounding ballistic protection consisting of an adapted mine protection plate (41) in the region of the crew cell (3), a hood (5) which surrounds the crew cell on the sides and the top and has a lateral adaptive protection (51) and a roof protection (52), and an additional armour-plating (31) in the outer region of the crew cell (3). The chassis (4) and the undercarriage region (42) are protected only against a ground threat.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de protection destiné à un véhicule militaire (1) servant de véhicule d'appui capable de réaliser tous travaux de génie militaire et de dépannage, le véhicule comportant un châssis (4) servant de base pour les différents types de véhicules et une cellule d'équipage (3) destinée à recevoir un équipage (2). La cellule d'équipage (3) dispose d'une grande protection balistique alentour du fait d'une plaque antimines adaptée (41) disposée dans la zone de la cellule d'équipage (3); d'un capot (5) entourant la cellule d'équipage sur le haut et sur les côtés, pourvu d'une protection adaptative (51) et d'une protection de toit (52); et d'un blindage supplémentaire (32) situé dans la zone extérieure de la cellule d'équipage (3). Le châssis (4) et la zone des trains de chenilles (42) sont uniquement protégés contre une menace venant du sol.
