A method of promoting regeneration of hemopoietic cells in a subject undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy, which method includes the steps of (i) administering to the subject a first amount of AcSDKP or an agonist thereof, the first amount being effective to reduce the proliferation of hemopoietic cells during the chemotherapy or radiotherapy; (ii) administering to the subject a second amount of an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, said second amount being effective to reduce the degradation of said AcSDKP or an agonist thereof by angiotensin-converting enzyme; and (iii) after the chemotherapy or radiotherapy, administering to the subject a second amount of a hemopoiesis growth factor, the second amount being effective to stimulate the proliferation of hemopoietic cells.
Procédé permettant de promouvoir la régénération de cellules hématopoïétiques chez un sujet subissant une chimiothérapie ou une radiothérapie, qui consiste (i) à administrer à ce sujet une première quantité d'AcSDKP ou un agoniste de ladite substance, la première quantité étant efficace pour réduire la prolifération des cellules hématopoïétiques pendant la chimiothérapie ou la radiothérapie, (ii) à administrer audit sujet une seconde quantité d'un inhibiteur d'enzyme de conversion de l'angiotensine (ASE), ladite seconde quantité étant efficace pour réduire la dégradation de l'AcSDKP ou de son agoniste par l'enzyme de conversion de l'angiotensine et (iii) après la chimiothérapie ou la radiothérapie, à administrer au sujet une seconde quantité d'un facteur de croissance de l'hématopoïèse, ladite seconde quantité étant efficace pour stimuler la prolifération des cellules hématopoïétiques.
