The invention relates to a quasi-interpenetrating network of polymer chains, the chains comprising linear polyacrylamide (LPA) chains in the form of a main frame having a weight average molecular weight of approximately 0.05 million to approximately 25 million g/mole, and a radius of gyration of approximately 10 nrn to 350 rim; and polydimethylacrylamide (PDMA) chains prepared by polymerizing PDMA in the presence of the LPA main frame, wherein the LPA and PDMA chains are entangled within one another and interpenetrate one another, and wherein the quasi-interpenetrating network has stifistantially no chemical cross-linking.
L'invention concerne un réseau quasi-interpénétrant de chaînes polymères. Ces chaînes comprennent comme structure principale des chaînes linéaires de polyacrylamide (LPA) présentant une masse moléculaire moyenne en poids comprise entre environ 0,05 million et environ 25 millions g/mole, et un rayon de giration compris entre environ 10 nm et 350 nm ; et des chaînes de polydiméthylacrylamide (PDMA), obtenues par la polymérisation de PDMA en présence de la structure principale LPA. Les chaînes de LPA et de PDMA sont enchevêtrées et s'interpénétrent mutuellement, et ce réseau quasi-interpénétrant ne comporte pratiquement aucune réticulation chimique.
