Systems and methods of generating quick paging messages having nearly unique identifiers and variable capacity are described. The system generates a quick paging message identifying an access terminal to indicate the presence of a scheduled paging message for that access terminal. The system generates a quick paging notification for each access terminal having a scheduled paging message and generates a compressed nearly unique identifier of each access terminal that is notified in the quick paging message. The compression technique can vary based on the number of bits allocated to the quick paging message as well as the number of access terminals notified in one quick paging message.
L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés de génération de messages de messagerie rapide possédant des identificateurs pratiquement uniques et une capacité variable. Le système génère un message de messagerie rapide identifiant un terminal d'accès pour indiquer la présence d'un message de messagerie prévu pour ce terminal d'accès. Le système génère une notification de messagerie rapide pour chaque terminal d'accès possédant un message de messagerie prévu et génère un identificateur comprimé pratiquement unique pour chaque terminal d'accès averti dans le message de messagerie rapide. La technique de compression peut varier selon le nombre de bits attribués au message de messagerie rapide et le nombre de terminaux d'accès avertis dans un message de messagerie rapide.
