AsSTRACT Compounds of the formula: Image in which R1 and R2 are each hydrogen, halogen, nitro, amino, protected amino, hydroxyamino, lower alkyl, hydroxy, protected hydroxy, sulfamoyl, carboxy, protected carboxy, mercapto, heterocyclic-carbonyl, heterocyclic-(lower)alkyl, lower alkylthio, hydroxy(lower)alkyl or protected hydroxy(lower)alkyl, R3 is aryl which may have suitable substituent(s), and A is lower alkylene, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. These compounds can be used as dopamine receptor agonist, 5-HT receptor antagonist, especially 5-HT2 receptor antagonist; .alpha.1 receptor antagonists. The therapeutic treatment of these receptor mediated diseases, particu- larly hypertension, cardiovascular disorder (e.g. angina pectoris, myocardial infarction), Parkinsonism, and the like is also disclosed. The preparation of these compounds, and pharmaceutical compositions containing them are also described.
