- 1 - Abstract In a radiator valve, an insert (21) is inserted from the free end of a connecting passage. It comprises an outer peripheral surface (25) which abuts against at least two axially offset positions at the inner peripheral surface of the connecting passage for sealing and retaining purposes. Further, there is at least one throttle passage (K) which passes through a dividing wall (24), extends substantially in the direction of the connecting passage and has a cross section which converges at the inlet side and then remains substantially constant over a length (Z)exceed- ing the smallest internal width (d). In particular, the throttle passage (K) has a sharp -edged outlet edge (29). In this way, one can obtain the desired thrott- ling during operation with little noise. Fig. 2.
