A microsphere which is capable of irradiating radioactive rays in a human body for a long period of time, is excellent in chemical durability, and has a diameter of 1 to 100 µm, characterized in that it comprises 99 wt % or more of a crystal of an oxide which contains 47 wt % or more of radioactive yttrium, such as Y2O3 or YPO4, the balance being inevitable impurities.
La présente invention concerne une microsphère qui peut irradier de la radioactivité dans le corps d'un homme pendant une longue période, dont la durabilité chimique est excellente, et qui possède un diamètre, allant de 1 à 100 µm. Cette microsphère est caractérisée par le fait qu'elle comprend au moins 99 % en masse d'un cristal d'oxyde, lequel contient au moins 47 % en masse d'yttrium radioactif tel que Y¿2?O¿3? ou YPO¿4?, le solde étant constitué des impuretés inévitables.
