ABSTRACT In a rail vehicle with a coach body which is supported by at least two bogies, each bogie has a frame having at least two longitudinal girders and two transverse girders. A bolster beam extends transversely to the direction of travel of the bogie and is connected to the coach body by swivelling arms located substantially in the travel direction. These swivel on shafts such that the coach body is supported on the bolster beam by springs. The bolster beam is spring mounted in the travel direction of the bogie relative to the frame by two spring assemblies which are made of semi-rigid material such as rubber plates. These have a high rigidity in the travel direction but a low rigidity in the crosswise direction. At least one torsion member extends transversely of the travel direction and is connected to the vehicle body on both sides by two upward converging swivelling arms. The coach body is supported by at least two springs of low rigidity, such as pneumatic springs. One of these is arranged at each side of the railed vehicle. A torsion member has two upward converging swivelling arms kinematically bypassing the springs of low rigidity.
