A plurality of nanoparticles are provided. The nanoparticles may have a metal oxide or a semiconductor oxide surface region and a metal or semiconductor core region and/or the nanoparticles may be uniformly doped. The nanoparticles are formed by grinding a bulk material to a powder and then etching the powder in a solution to a desired nanoparticle size.

Cette invention concerne une pluralité de nanoparticules. Ces nanoparticules peuvent présenter une région de surface faite d'un oxyde métallique ou d'un oxyde semi-conducteur et une âme métallique ou semi-conductrice, et/ou les nanoparticules peuvent être dopées uniformément. Ces nanoparticules s'obtiennent par broyage d'un matériau en vrac sous forme de poudre, puis par attaque de la poudre dans une solution jusqu'à obtention de nanoparticules de la taille recherchée.
