The present invention relates to a rare earth-containing alkali silicate frit which may be applied to a metal substrate to provide a porcelain enamel coating which has good thermal stability, an acid resistance of A on the PEI scalc and improved cleanability, wherein the frit contains, based on the total weight of the frit (I), wherein R represents an alkali metal and X represents a rare earth oxide having an atomic number of 57-60, preferably cerium oxide. The present invention is also directed to porcelain enamel coatings, especially for appliances prepared from this rare earth-containing, alkali silicate frit.
La présente invention se rapporte à une fritte de silicate alcalin renfermant des terres rares qui peut être appliquée sur un substrat métallique afin d'obtenir un revêtement en émail présentant une bonne stabilité thermique, une résistance à l'acide de A sur l'échelle PEI et facilitant le nettoyage. La fritte contient, sur la base de son poids total (I), où R représente un métal alcalin, de préférence du sodium, du potassium et/ou du lithium et X représente un oxyde de terres rares ayant un nombre atomique de 57-60, de préférence l'oxyde cérique. La présente invention se rapporte également à des revêtements en émail, s'appliquant notamment sur des appareils ménagers, préparés à partir de cette fritte de silicate alcalin renfermant des terres rares.
