A Rear Drive, Wind Turbine with a Radial Flux Permanent Magnet Alternator. The assembly consists of three delta wing blades mounted 120 deg. apart from each other and on the downwind side of the tower. Each blade is formed with both positive and negative attack angles on each blade surface. Each blade is mounted on a rotateable pin which allows the blade pitch angle to be adjusted through the use of a linear drive actuator. Each mounting pin has a lever attached to the bottom which is coupled to the centre control shaft by a ball mount on one end and a clevis pin on the other. When the centre shaft is operated in and out by the control mechanism it in turn adjusts the pitch of all three blades simultaneously. The wind turbine is self tracking as the blades are on the downwind side of the mast and are 15 deg from perpendicular to the shaft axis. A Radial flux permanent magnet alternator is coupled to the opposite end of the turbine shaft allowing access to the control rod shaft and bearing which is positioned by a linear drive gearbox through a lever and linkage mechanism.
